The benchmarks are reviewed when the standards on which they are based change. Additionally, Scholastic and MetaMetrics continually conduct studies that impact the reports included in Literacy Pro. We use the most up-to-date data to represented the norms and expected growth in certain reports.

Many schools select the global benchmarks for non-native English speakers to monitor their students’ progress. These standards were developed by MetaMetrics this year. Scholastic intends to work with more MOEs and school boards in the coming years to add new local or regional benchmarks to the program. Therefore, customers can be assured that the benchmarks are fresh and up to date.
