First off, part of the reason Literacy Pro is a proven solution for developing successful readers is because it customizes reading lists for individual children based on their Lexile levels. Research shows that the more students read within their Targeted Range (100L below and 50L above their Lexile), the faster they will improve their reading comprehension skills.

With respect to proficiency bands for ESL students, Literacy Pro includes benchmarks for non-native English speakers that are based on global proficiency standards developed by MetaMetrics. There is a chance that the global standards may not be exactly aligned to the proficiency expectations in Turkey. Therefore, Scholastic has the ability to partner with your customers to develop benchmarks that are correlated to their local standards. There would be a cost to the customer and we would need their help collecting information about their proficiency standards. The analysis takes 2-3 months to complete. We have developed a proposal that outlines what is involved.
