Why isn’t the test timed?

The LitPro Test is not timed due to the item-level adaptive nature of the test. It is this that makes Literacy Pro so precise and unique. The test is designed to stop when it determines that students have arrived at their exact Lexile levels. Students answer questions until they demonstrate repeated proficiency at a specific Lexile. No other program offers this kind of item-level adaptive assessment. On average the LitPro Test takes about 20 minutes.
