At what year/grade can students start using Literacy Pro?

The LitPro Test should be offered to students who are already able to read. It is recommended that customers start using LitPro in year/grade 2 at the earliest, as it is usually not appropriate for kindergarten or year/grade 1 students; however, this may vary by school.

Generally, the test could be successfully taken by some students in year/grade 1 and all year/grade 2 students. However, if the year/grade 2 students still have a very low English level, it may be optimal to start testing at the end of year/grade 2 or the start of year/grade 3. ESL kindergarten students and many year/grade 1 students (even first language English speakers) will not likely have sufficient reading ability to take the test.
